MITSUI FUDOSAN
SEQUENCE KYOTO GOJO
Our client, Mitsui Fudosan created a new hotel chain called sequence-based in Tokyo and Kyoto. Sequence is a new concept hotel with the main themes including facial check-in and 2 pm check out, allowing customers to enjoy as much time in the surrounding areas without feeling the need to rush.
Kyoto's design concept was to mix Kyoto's traditional Japanese aesthetics with a contemporary twist. Within the hotel there was the cube formation behind the bar to link to "kakutsunagi", a traditional japanese pattern. This was also reflected in the LED light mirror.
Throughout the two projects, Griffon inc led the concept design, naming, interior design, and hospitality of F&B and event space. I helped the lead designers with planning, research, and to choose products as well as helping with renderings. However, my role within this project hugely came into effect with the starting up of the hospitality side in the restaurant and event space, art direction, in-house design and creating F&B menus, HR and training, and running weekly and special events within hotels.

Roles: Helped with concept design, interior design, product research. Managed Art direction, events, communications, PR, Music, and in-house design as well as HR, F&B menu research, and curation.
