ARTIST x JAPANESE PRODUCT
A project at Haneda, to help regions in Japan from losing their traditional and unique art forms. There are so many beautiful products that were made for the time that they were designed in and have lost their popularity in our world today. Haneda's mission is to help these industries by creating new opinions and marketing them more by collaborating with Japan's emerging artists to create a new fresh look for some of Japan's oldest art pieces.
These are just a small example of a few products from this project.
With so many old cultural trades in Japan from so many different prefectures, it's hard for visitors to know of all of them as well as their history. Therefore, working with lots of emerging artists in Japan, I decided to put forward this project to make collection pieces. Mixing old and new and sharing the deep history of many artisans but also making people aware of the incredible talent emerging in Japan today.
